"Antalyaspor" under the leadership of Nuri Shahin, a little depressed – this season is close to relegation (15th). But the head coach is still praised – at least for the episode where he defends the arbitrator from his (!) players.

It seems that only Shakhin took care of the referee: the players were angry, the club mocked the arbiter on social networks

January 3 « Fenerbahce» beat "Antalyaspor" (2:1) thanks to a double by Micha Batshuayi. Against the backdrop of a sad result, Shahin's team boiled up: the players almost attacked the referee because of several controversial decisions. Fernando seemed to have leveled the score, but VAR saw offside, and the goal was canceled. Furious players immediately ran to the referee with questions, but the coach suddenly appeared in front of them. Shahin stood next to Kadir Saglam, preventing the players from reaching the https://1win-azerbaycan.com/ referee team.

In this game, Antalyaspor grabbed four yellow cards and one red – it was already after the whistle that Shahin's assistant Alfons Grunendijk received it. Perhaps, if it weren't for Shahin, some footballer got the red one.

“We knew Kadir Saglam before. In the match with Kasimpasa, which we played in the 5th round, he did not give a red card to Larsson (this is the striker of Antalyaspor – Sports.ru), but he invented a penalty and an out – after that he was suspended for 4 weeks. We said we don't need rookie judges, – part of the club's statement.

Shahin already had coaching experience – in the German fifth division

In May 2015, when Shaheen played for Dortmund; and received another serious injury, he saved his native "Meinerzhagen" (a club from the city of the same name, 60 km from Dortmund) from another drop in the class, helped him with money and entered the coaching staff, where his brother Ufuk was in charge.

It is clear that due to employment in the main job Nuri appeared at matches and training sessions on average 2-3 times a month, but he constantly helped with advice and consulted a lot on the phone. After another injury, he spent a rehabilitation period in his small homeland and then worked more closely with the team.

Former Shahin partner Roman Weidenfeller is sure that Nuri has everything to become a great coach: “On the field, he thought like strategist and led the team behind him. I learned a lot from Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel and other great coaches with whom I worked together. I think he will succeed.

In Antalyaspor Shahin was given a 5-year contract – it's rare, but club president Aziz Chatin has faith in Nuri. “We want to give him time to put together a team,” – explained Chatin in an interview with Haber Global.
